The Kuwaiti Insurance Regulatory Unit (IRU) has issued two circulars regarding the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) information exchange system and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) for the year 2026. Additionally, the Unit has officially adopted electronic notification as the formal method for notices and correspondence with the entities under its supervision.
