The Insurers Federation of Egypt (IFE) clarified that the repercussions of the US–Iranian war continue to exert mounting pressure on international shipping and marine insurance markets, amid an ongoing decline in vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and the expanding scope of conflict-related risks—including physical damage, sanctions, and restrictions on payments and claims settlement.
